SUMMARY:Five Forestry Students from the College of Natural Resources Succes
 sfully Complete Internship at the National Biodiversity Centre
DESCRIPTION:Five undergraduate students from the College of Natural Resourc
 es (CNR)\, Royal University of Bhutan\, have successfully completed a mont
 h-long internship at the National Biodiversity Centre (NBC)\, Bhutan. The 
 students\, all pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry\, participated i
 n the internship as part of their academic training to gain practical expe
 rience in the field of biodiversity conservation.\nDuring the internship\,
  the students were engaged in a variety of hands-on activities and fieldwo
 rk assignments. They were introduced to core herbarium techniques\, includ
 ing the collection\, processing\, and curation of plant specimens. They al
 so took part in a plant survey at the Royal Botanical Garden in Serbithang
 \, contributing to the documentation and assessment of plant diversity.\n\
 nIn addition to field and laboratory activities\, the interns received tra
 ining in the use of digital tools such as Epicollect5 and SW Maps for data
  collection and spatial mapping – skills essential for modern ecological
  research and resource management.\n\nOn the final day of the program\, th
 e students delivered presentations highlighting their experiences and key 
 takeaways from the internship. The program concluded with a certificate aw
 arding ceremony\, where the Program Director of NBC formally acknowledged 
 their efforts and achievements.\n\nThe National Biodiversity Centre congra
 tulates the interns for their successful completion of the program and com
 mends their active participation\, professionalism\, and enthusiasm. NBC r
 emains committed to supporting capacity-building initiatives that foster t
 he next generation of conservation professionals in Bhutan.
