The National Biodiversity Centre (NBC) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MoAL), in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC), Technical Working Group (TWG) members from various agencies, and the UNDP Bhutan office, successfully conducted the final technical writeshop for the National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plan (NBSAP) in Paro from 21st to 26th April 2025.
The week-long writeshop brought together members of the Technical Working Group (TWG) and key stakeholders from relevant sectors to collaboratively review and refine the chapters of the NBSAP document. The participants worked diligently from the early morning hours until late at night to ensure the successful finalization of the writeup for the document.
During the writeshop, the feedback and comments gathered from the national consultation meeting were throughly reviewed and interacted. Efforts were also made to ensure the alignment of the document with both national priorities and international biodiversity targets.
