17th September 2026: A Project Director and officials from the National Biodiversity Centre visited to Menjong Sorig Pharmaceuticals Corporation Limited (MSPCL) on 17th August 2026 and held a productive meeting with the Chief Executive Officer and senior officials of the company.
The discussion focused on strengthening Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) partnership and compliance mechanisms, as well as exploring joint collaborative biodiscovery research of mutual interest to advance bioprospecting-based product development in Bhutan.
A highlight of the visit was a tour of MSPCL’s Product Outlet guided by the CEO himself, which showcases a diverse range of high-quality products derived from Sowa Rigpa. It was impresive to see by the variety and quality of the products on display, reflecting MSPCL’s significant contribution to promoting Bhutanese traditional medicine and natural product.
