As her second assignment at the National Biodiversity Centre comes to an end, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Barbara Meurer, GAICD, for her invaluable contributions over the past three months.

During her time here, Dr. Barbara provided training to the officials at the Bioprospecting Laboratory focusing on biodiscovery research and natural product development approaches and methodologies. Her efforts have significantly enhanced our institutional capacity and enriched the knowledge and skills of NBC staff.

Having first joined NBC in 2023, Dr. Barbara has continued to support us remotely, displaying unwavering commitment to our work and our team. Her return to Bhutan this year has further deepened our collaboration and shared goals.

We thank Dr. Barbara for her generous dedication and wish her all the best in her future endeavors. NBC also sincerely acknowledges the Australian Volunteer Program for their continued partnership and support.

We hope to welcome her again soon!
