The National Biodiversity Centre (NBC), in collaboration with Tarayana and Bio-Bhutan, held a meeting to further discuss on the formulation and development of the Zingiber cassumunar wellness spray, also known as the Zhinor wellness spray.
During the meeting, NBC provided updates on the product development process, including the completion of three community consultation meetings and the planned handover of the operational facility in November. Bio-Bhutan also presented an overview of its company and product portfolio, highlighting its experience in developing food and non-food products.
Furthermore, the meeting also included a practical demonstration by the Bio-Bhutan team at the NBC Bioprospecting Laboratory, where participants were introduced to the preparation of a trial batch of the wellness spray. The demonstration provided a good opportunity for participants to gain practical insights into the formulation process and to strengthen collaboration among the partners.
