The National Biodiversity Centre (NBC) conducted a Private Sector Consultation Workshop on 5th March 2024 at Hotel Legphel, Phuentsholing, as part of the ongoing revision of Bhutan’s Fifth National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAP).
The workshop aimed to raise awareness and sensitize private sector stakeholders on the importance of the NBSAP and their role in biodiversity conservation. It brought together representatives from various private sector organizations, facilitating discussions on biodiversity strategies and gathering valuable insights to refine the NBSAP.
Private sectors play a key role in implementing the NBSAP, as many strategies and interventions require their active involvement. This is why engaging them in the revision process is a crucial step toward ensuring that biodiversity conservation efforts are practical, inclusive, and effective.
